Can you use the Texas Tech Rec Center?

Start with your enrollment. An undergraduate taking at least one hour in person has semester access through the University Recreation fee. Online-only students and graduate assistants with the fee waived can purchase access.

Check how your enrollment covers access

University Recreation says the in-person undergraduate fee is included with tuition and fees for the semester you attend. For online-only enrollment, the department offers an Elect-to-Pay option or an in-person semester membership.

Graduate teaching and research assistants should check their fee waiver before a visit. If the department waived the fee, University Recreation lists the same two ways to buy access.

Check the facility you will actually use

Check the Ewalt Student Recreation Center, Aquatic Center or Leisure Pool on the hours page before leaving. Their hours can differ. The facility page also gives current counts and weather closures.

Bring identification and check guest rules

Use your own Tech ID at entry. Members can sponsor guests under the facility rules. Adult guests need their own photo ID, and the sponsor stays with them during the visit. The pool has designated family hours for children under 17.
