How to apply to graduate from Texas Tech
Check your expected graduation term and open requirements in DegreeWorks first. Undergraduates file an Intent to Graduate with their college through My Tech. Graduate students use the Graduate School application and its separate deadline.

Confirm the term and review what’s left
Open DegreeWorks and confirm that the program and expected graduation term are correct. Review incomplete requirements and anything still in progress. If a grade, substitution, or outside course is missing, ask your advisor what must post and by when. Check the expected term in the Student Dashboard before you submit a form.
File your undergraduate Intent to Graduate
The 2026–27 catalog directs undergraduates to file their online confirmation with their college through Raiderlink’s My Tech tab by the last class day of the prior term. For Spring 2027 graduation, the Fall 2026 calendar places that day on December 2, 2026. If you miss the online cutoff, the catalog directs you to your associate academic dean or designee to file the paper form.

Use the Graduate School application if it applies
For Spring 2027, the Graduate School lists January 22, 2027 as the application deadline for both degree and certificate candidates. Use the Apply to Graduate link on the deadlines page. That same page lists separate steps for defenses, submissions, and other requirements if your program calls for them.
Watch for a separate commencement RSVP
If you plan to attend commencement, follow the RSVP instructions and deadline in your ceremony email. The ceremony RSVP is a separate step from filing for graduation.
